I actually started with a pirated Windows XP in 2004 that was The Pirate Bay branded. There was a high chance for identity theft, bank account theft etc. *

That is why you do not pirate your base Operating System. Backdoors and rootkits are built-in with such cr*p. Be it Windows, MacOS or a premium/enterprise UNIX or *Nix-like system. *
